What is a Helicoil and why would I need it for my skis?

A helicoil is a threaded metal insert installed into a stripped or damaged mounting hole. It reinforces the hole so binding screws can hold securely again.

How does helicoil work?

The damaged hole is prepared and fitted with a threaded insert. The insert creates a new, reinforced thread that allows the screw to tighten properly and maintain holding strength.

Is this service suitable for all ski brands?

Helicoil repair can be performed on any skis provided the surrounding material is structurally sound. Each case is assessed individually before installation.

Can I use the repaired holes immediately after service?

Once the insert is properly installed and verified, the equipment is typically ready for use within 24hrs after the glue has dried. Timing may depend on whether additional mounting work is required.
