Deluxe Hot Wax & Scrape

Premium glide. Cleaner finish. Longer-lasting performance.

If your skis or snowboard feel dry, slow, or inconsistent across flats, a Deluxe Hot Wax & Scrape refreshes the base. This service is the same as a regular Hot/Wax and scrape but we use a SWIX F4 All temp high end wax

A More Refined Approach to Glide

This service includes a carefully iron-applied hot wax, full scrape, and detailed brushing to restore base structure and improve glide. The goal isf aster speeds, smoother tracking, and improved performance across variable snow conditions.

A deluxe hot wax scrape is ideal for riders who want to go faster. This service is available for both skis and snowboards.

From Base Check to Dialed Glide

Step 1 – Base Inspection

Bring your skis or snowboard to Mountain Cultures for evaluation.

We inspect the base condition to confirm that waxing is the appropriate service and that no deeper repair work is required.

Step 2 – Iron Applied Swix F4 Hot Wax

We apply wax using a professional waxing iron to allow the material to penetrate the base properly.

Heat helps open the pores of the base so wax can absorb more evenly. This step is controlled carefully to protect the integrity of the base material.

The wax selection is generally suited for typical winter conditions.

Step 3 – Detailed Scrape and Brush

Once cooled, the wax is fully scraped and brushed.

Brushing restores base structure and removes excess wax to ensure a clean finish. This step is essential in a hot wax scrape process because it helps optimize glide rather than leaving residue on the surface.

The final result is a smoother, faster feel on snow.

I am using my husband's old board and needed it serviced within three days before starting lessons, and they were able to accommodate me. I appreciated being able to get everything done in one place! Service pricing was very reasonable.

"Great service from Pat! I got my skis waxed and went back for a helmet fitting. He showed me some options and ensured the helmet fit with my existing goggles. Highly recommend"

Best technical assistance in fitting my new boots then making sure I had updated bindings so I can ski safely. I love the customer service in helping me make the right choice for my new Dynastar skis and bindings. The fact that they could be ready the next day along with the waxing and tuning of my families skis is a great way, to me, the customer, that I am important to them. Thank you! Mountain Cultures is the best shop with friendly, knowledge staff. Support local stores is my motto where ever I am.

My preferred place to get my snowboards serviced. I forgot his name but the guy at the front really knows his stuff and does a great job on the boards.
