Tech/Touring Binding Re-Mount
Tech / Touring Binding Re-Mount
Backcountry setups evolve. Your mount needs to evolve with them.
If you are transferring a tech binding to a new ski, adjusting mount position, or reconfiguring your touring setup, a professional binding remount ensures your system remains reliable for both climbing and descending.
Touring equipment operates under different demands than standard alpine gear. Precision matters.
Professional Touring Binding Remount
Our Tech / Touring Binding Re-Mount service covers the professional removal and reinstallation of an existing touring binding system.
Priced at $100.00, this service includes assessment of previous mount holes, evaluation of ski compatibility, and accurate reinstallation using appropriate mounting tools and manufacturer guidelines.

We work with a wide range of touring binding systems including Dynafit, G3, Look, Marker, Atomic, Salomon & Tyrolia. If you are unsure whether your touring binding can be remounted, our team can confirm at drop-off.
Is a Touring Remount Right for You?
This service is ideal for:
-
Skiers transferring a touring binding to a new ski
-
Riders adjusting mount position for performance preference
-
Backcountry skiers changing boot sole length
-
Anyone upgrading part of their touring setup
A binding remount may be required when equipment changes or when refining ski balance and feel.
Because touring binding systems rely on precise pin alignment and boot compatibility, correct installation is especially important.
How the Remount Works
Step 1 – Setup Assessment
Bring your skis, touring binding, and boots to Mountain Cultures. We inspect previous mounting holes and evaluate safe spacing for a new mount position.
We also confirm compatibility between your boot and tech ski binding before beginning.
Step 2 – Binding Removal and Reinstallation
Existing bindings are removed carefully. Previous holes may be sealed where appropriate to help maintain ski integrity.
Using the proper jig and mounting specifications, we reinstall the touring binding in the selected position. Attention is given to alignment, drilling depth, and secure attachment.
Step 3 – Function and Compatibility Check
After installation, we verify boot engagement, heel function, and overall system alignment.
If your touring binding includes adjustable release values, we can review and adjust settings according to your skier profile. Final checks are completed before pickup.
